Position: Dispensary Team Lead - Management Level (NOT a remote position)
Summary of Position:
Founded in 2014, Bloom is one of the country's largest family-owned medical cannabis companies. We handle all aspects of our cannabis operations in-house, from new market evaluation and entry to facilities build-out, compliance, and marketing. Currently licensed to grow, manufacture and/or dispense medical marijuana products in five states, we’re expanding rapidly as we continue to earn new state licenses.
We are currently seeking Lead Agents for our dispensary in O'Fallon, Missouri.
Lead Agents serve as the face of management and the company – providing an important first impression for patients, caregivers, and regulatory officials. Under the direction of the Dispensary General Manager and Assistant General Manager, Lead Agents assist dispensary agents, patients, and caregivers. They’re also responsible for providing various administrative and support services that are essential to dispensary operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily inventory audits
- Address patient concerns
- Resolve employee disputes using conflict resolution best practices
- Ensure dispensary staff are correctly clocking in/out
- Manage employee lunch schedule
- Provide coaching for Dispensary Agents and backup for the sales floor
- Break down registers throughout day and at close of business
- Assist with careful review and acceptance of daily deliveries
- Enter new products into store point-of-sale software
- Assist with weekly destruction of expired samples
- Troubleshoot technical issues for staff and patients
- Approve product returns for defective items
- Evaluate staff performance
- Routinely check store supplies to ensure sufficient inventory levels
- Manage and organize both paper and digital files
- Manually update Weedmaps menu
- Assist patients with call-ahead and online orders
Qualifications:
- Qualified applicants must be over the age of 21
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work
- College degree preferred
- Must be a United States Citizen, or be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must be able to pass an extensive criminal background check
- Must live within 30 minutes of the dispensary
Experience:
- Experience in the health care and/or retail industry
- Previous cannabis industry experience preferred but not required
Skills:
- Proper licensing – or be eligible to receive licensing
- Previous retail sales experience preferred
- An empathetic personality with a passion for helping others
- Knowledge of the cannabis strains, products, and potential benefits
- Friendly, outgoing, trustworthy, dependable, and hardworking
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Oversee Dispensary Agents during the security office check-in process and showroom check-out process
Physical Requirements:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by the Dispensary Team Lead to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of this position, Lead Agents will be regularly required to speak, hear, and listen. They must be able to stand, walk, and use both hands to reach and grasp. The employee must be able to frequently lift or move items that weigh up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
This job operates in a professional dispensary environment that's under constant supervision. The Team Lead will be required to be comfortable using standard office equipment including computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, inventory systems, and point-of-sale systems.
