IT ASSISTANT
Position Summary:
To be able quickly react and accommodate incoming request for new items to be entered. Change pricing and print new tags/sigs in both Pos Systems.
To be able design / modify existing signs as required.
Primarily in Adobe Illustrator. Basic knowledge of network interconnection between computers, printers, scanners and internet access is desirable but not necessary.
To be able repair / replace basic electronic devices / components is part of this job .
Essential Job Functions:
EVERY CANDIDATE That will join our team must learn and become proficient in three kinds of software:
- CATAPULT: POS (Point of sale) software that is maintaining database of thousands of grocery items for our store. These items has to be constantly change/ update. Catapult software is controlling the grocery store with 18 outgoing registers and printers.
- TOAST – POS system for all of our restaurant/ bar functions (food, drinks etc.). with 14 registers, 14 additional touchscreens (mostly in the kitchen) and printers.
- Adobe Illustrator: (no Photoshop) – to create various in-house signs and advertising. (Examples of these software packages are available to review on the internet).
Physical Demands:
- The associate is frequently required to bend, twist, reach, push and pull.
- The associate must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 25 lbs., and occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 50 lbs.
- The associate must be able to work with a wide variety of fresh, dried and/or processed products, spices and powdered substances without negative allergic consequences.
- This position requires an associate to be able to tolerate moderate amounts of dust and cleaning agents during routine housekeeping duties.

Desirable Skills and Qualifications
- Computer Operations on system level. Not just browsing.
- MS office basic knowledge
- Experience in a relate field of grocery store or restaurant/bar is a plus
- Bi-lingual (English- Spanish) is a plus.
Conditions:
- This position could be part time or full time
- The opening is for morning shift, starting at 7 am or afternoon shift ending 9 to 9:30 pm in seven days week cycle that include weekends. Numbers hours per shift are negotiable.
- Starting salary is $14 per hour. The upper limit depends on the candidate’s ability proving on the job performance that his/her action are bringing extra profit our organization.
