HERFF JONES, HR Coordinator – Warwick, RI

Summary/Objective

The Human Resources (HR) Coordinator completes administrative duties for the human resources department by assisting the HR Team Members with onboarding new employees, maintaining employee records, general HR duties, project work and other administrative tasks.

Job Responsibilities

Assist with all internal and external HR related inquiries or requests Process and respond to employment verifications and unemployment claims Manage the onboarding and offboarding of employee Collaborate with support teams such as Payroll, AP and IT as related to new hires and exiting employees Create, issue, and track new seasonal staff agreements Create, maintain, and scan copies of employees' records Schedule meetings, maintain agendas and take notes Perform orientations, assist with departmental onboarding plans Maintain trust and navigate sensitive issues with colleagues Demonstrate high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy Issue and manage employee building access badges Assist with payroll and as hod HR projects

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Ability to handle sensitive matters and information with tact, diplomacy, and confidentiality Attention to detail, ability to multitask, remain organized and prioritize tasks with strict deadlines Self-motivated; ability to work independently with minimal supervision Ability to work in a fast paced environment and pivot focus of responsibilities in a smooth and efficient manner Service Oriented, collaborative, and proactive. Ability to communicate effectively with management and team members Must be a Team player Knowledge of Federal & State regulations Proficient in Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point required Knowledge of Workday, UKG, ADP is a plus Other duties as assigned

Physical Demands and/or Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. Largely a sedentary role with some filing requiring the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bending or standing on a stool as necessary. This role is expected to be fully in office.

Education, Certification and Experience

High school diploma or GED required; Associates Degree preferred 1 - 3 years of relevant experience

Pay: $14.45 - $27.57 per hour
