We have an exceptional summer internship opportunity for a top performing junior, senior, graduate student or recent grad interested in a career in healthcare fraud investigation. Located in our Dallas, TX or Los Alamitos, CA office, this internship is for 8 weeks, 40 hours per week beginning June 5 or a mutually acceptable alternate date. The hourly wage is $15.50/hour.
The intern will work with our Investigations team engaged in the detection and investigation of fraud, waste, and abuse in healthcare. The internship may include but is not limited to:
- Works with the team to prioritize complaints for investigation, and then investigates, conducts interviews and reviews information to make potential fraud determination.
- Determines investigation or case appropriateness of fraud, waste and abuse issues in accordance with pre-established criteria.
- Conducts interviews of witnesses, informants, and subject area experts and targets of investigations.
- Identifies and collects information to support the an investigation
- Drafts investigation reports and promotes effective and efficient investigations.
- Works with data to understand healthcare claims
- Prepares and presents a final report.

Required Experience
- Junior, Senior, Graduate Student or recent grad in one of the following fields:
- Criminal Justice
- Criminology
- Psychology
- Or Related Field
- Intermediate level ability to use Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
