Position Summary:

We are seeking a Clinical or Forensic Psychologist to join our team! The Psychologist will primarily provide behavioral science and health-related services for patients detained on involuntary psychiatric holds. Typical duties include:

• Clinically evaluates newly admitted patients on an initial hold and assesses whether additional inpatient hospitalization is needed or whether a less restrictive option is appropriate.
• Co-authors, with attending provider, summaries of clinical presentation in petitions for continued involuntary treatment.
• Provide expert witness testimony via video conference from the hospital through a combination of patient evaluation, medical chart review, discussions with treatment providers and witnesses.
• Supervision and training of administrative staff and psychology doctoral students.

Sign-on Bonus:

• Up to $15,000 sign-on bonus with employment commitment

Requirements:

Education: Doctorate in psychology from an accredited college or university.

Experience: Prior experience conducting psychological testing, required. Supervising pre/post-doctoral interns preferred

Licensure: Must be licensed in the state of Washington as a Psychologist, Social Worker, or related mental health field or have an associate license.

Additional Requirements: As part of new hire orientation, the employee will obtain CPR, First Aid, Handle with Care, and Verbal De-Escalation certification upon hire.
