Embedded Systems Engineering
Precision Planting is passionate about using science and technology to improve agriculture. The Precision Planting team develops innovative products that improve the lives of growers and make agriculture more sustainable, efficient, and profitable. The Precision Planting Embedded Systems Engineering Intern will receive hands-on experience in many different areas of product development based in Tremont, Illinois. This paid internship will focus on cutting-edge projects developing on-farm planting and harvesting systems for advanced precision ag applications. The Internship may include the following:
Design and testing of new product concepts and technology
Develop embedded software for real-time microprocessor-based control and monitoring systems
Working with a multidisciplinary engineering team to design and implement control system strategies
Testing and support of software and electrical systems as products move through the development cycle
Required Skills/Experience
Current enrollment in BS or MS degree program in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
Experience in low-level C programming for embedded microcontrollers
Experience in troubleshooting and debugging hardware-software interactions
Strong communication skills and experience being a flexible team player
Cumulative GPA of at least 3.0/4.0
Personal Transportation
Willingness to relocate to the Peoria, IL area if necessary
Desired Skills/Experience
Exposure of embedded communication protocols such as CAN, SPI, I2C, etc
Hands-on experience troubleshooting interactions between electronic control systems, harnessing, and mechanical systems
