We are looking for a committed teacher to teach at our experiential learning Summer Camp Science program!

The ideal candidate will be passionate about engaging students and know how to create a fun atmosphere. Previous classroom experience or camp counselor experience is a big plus. Our camps are well known for being highly engaging and memorable, so please be patient, reliable, and have an arsenal of ice-breakers ready to go.

This is a great opportunity for school-year teachers or coaches looking to make extra income during off hours, as well as college students with flexible schedules!

Requirements

• Teach students during the day (dates and time ranges depend on location of class) in project-based science experiments
• Commute on-site to the campus and follow school COVID protocols
• Include in your resume any extracurricular interests and leadership

Responsibilities

• Present lessons in a comprehensive manner and use the programs we have created to facilitate learning
• Provide instruction to each student by promoting interactive learning
• Assess and record students’ progress and feedback to parents and the school in a daily email summary
• Collaborate with other teachers, parents and stakeholders and participate in regular meetings

Skills

• Proven experience as a teacher or tutor
• Thorough knowledge of teaching best practices and legal educational guidelines partnered with a willingness to follow the school’s policies and procedures (including social distancing procedures related to COVID)
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Background-check required

Pay: $75.00 per hour
