Carrier Operations Executive

In this position:
You will be responsible for supporting day-to-day operations for a high-volume book of business of carrier accounts. This position will support an experienced Carrier Sales Executive. You will be responsible for helping them manage their business so they can focus on further developing their current book of business.
The Carrier Operations Executive will maintain daily tasks for carriers such as; posting capacity, tracking shipments, providing customer service, and resolving any issues that may come up. The Carrier Operations Executive will need to effectively communicate with all parties involved in the process to ensure proper delivery of customer shipments.
The right candidate will be able to:
- Manage the operations of various customer accounts efficiently
- Understand how to prioritize their daily tasks to ensure that all carrier accounts are taken care of
- Continuously provide customer service and support for any active shipments in transit
- Communicate effectively with all parties involved in the shipping process – Customers, Sales Executives, and Carrier Sales Teams, etc.
- Demonstrate the ability to multitask to utilize their time to ensure all tasks are completed each day
Requirements:
- 1 to 2 years experience in an operations role required
- Bachelor’s Degree or prior relevant industry experience is preferred
- Attention to detail is required
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems under pressure
- Analytical and critical thinking abilities
- Strong customer service and relationship building skills
- Effective communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)
- Competitive and intrinsically motivated mentality
- Self-motivated, ability to manage own time, organizational skills
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment that requires problem-solving and decision making
- Ability to work both independently and in a team setting
