A&P/IA Mechanic
Who We Are
- We are a Cessna Pilot Center based at the Colorado Springs Airport
- We operate a flight training and aircraft rental fleet of 5 General Aviation aircraft from Cessna and Diamond
- We also assist other General Aviation customers on the field, as needed
What We’re Looking For
- We are currently seeking A&P Mechanics to join our team
- Our A&P Mechanics work on company-owned, third-party, and outside customer aircraft, performing airframe and engine diagnosis, maintenance, repair, modifications, and inspections, and accurately maintaining appropriate logbooks
- The ideal candidate should be self-starting, take great pride in the quality of work performed, be motivated by profit-sharing, and have an entrepreneurial “Can-Do” spirit
- Able to focus on solutions rather than obstacles to any given situation
- We prefer experience with Cessna 172 aircraft, but are also happy developing newly licensed team members
Required Qualifications
- Candidate must hold a Federal Aviation Administration Mechanic, Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License
- Candidate must comply with FAA FAR Part 65
- Candidate must own basic Aviation hand tools stored in Mechanic's toolbox
- Candidate must possess a current, valid US Passport or Birth Certificate, and US Driver's License
- Candidate will be required to pass drug, alcohol and background check(s)
- Candidate must be willing to work occassional overtime and odd hours
- Candidate may be required to travel (CONUS)
- Candidate must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
Physical Demands
- Climbing, standing, stooping, bending, pushing, kneeling, stretching, extensive walking and working in awkward, tiring, and uncomfortable positions
- Special vision abilities required to perform this job are close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus
- May require lifting of objects whose weight may exceed 75 pounds
Work Environment
- The diversity of work conditions may range from an environment where there is little or no physical discomfort, to an environment of inclement weather
- Most work is performed in our environmentally-controlled hangar
- You may be required to work in areas where high noise hazards prevail
- May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles
- May be exposed to electrical shock hazards
Compensation
- Rate of pay will be based on experience
- Profit Sharing and Paid Time-Off after 6-month probationary period
